Clinical study for therapeutic effect of Drotaverine hydrochloride (NO-SPAS) on smooth muscle spasm in Obstetrics and Gynecological department

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study is assessment of therapeutic effect and any possible occurrence of the undesirable effect on Drotaverine hydrochloride (NO-SPA®), an iso-quinoline derivatives, in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 48 patients with dysmenorrhea and pain after abortion were experienced in this study.
The results of this study are as followings;
1) The general effects of the drug on patient with dysmenorrhea was excellent in .23 cases (91. 3%) among 29 cases treated with Drotaverine hydrochloride.
2) The general effects of the drug on patient with pain after abortion was excellent in 14 cases (85.7 %) among 19 cases.
3) The over-all effectiveness of the drug was good in 33 cases(89.2%) among 37 cases was treated with Drotaverine hydrochloride.
4) There were no significant untoward reactions during administration of this drug to the patients. In conclusion, Drotaverine hydrochloride proves to be safe and good effect for the treatment of pains due to smooth muscle spasm in obstetrics and gynecological department.
